I was looking through my old files and came across my band’s old music videos.  Man, we were pretty terrible, but we sure had fun.  Still, the combination of seeing how we used to play and listening to Dave Matthews live has resparked my desire to play again. 

My old guitar’s pretty beat up, though.  It needs some new strings, maybe a good cleaning.  That, or I could just go pick up some new jay turser electric guitars.  Whatever works, I just want to play.  I could play with a banjo for all I care.  It’s all about the music, not the equipment.

There’s something I don’t get about sleep wear.  What’s with all the fuss?  The GF likes pajamas for her sleep attire, my dad uses some fancy thermal underwear, and I know people who dress up all in one color for bed.  I don’t get it.  Why not just get as comfortable as possible? 

Take me for example.  I wear the rattiest shorts and shirts to bed.  Those things have been washed so much, they’re almost see-through.  I may not be the best dressed sleeper in the world, but I’m pretty sure I’m the most comfortably-dressed one. 

Been pretty busy lately, what with work, working out, helping my folks pick out stuff for the new house.  I’m actually pretty burnt out, to be honest.  It also doesn’t help that I haven’t been getting enough sleep.

This is exactly why I’m taking a break and packing my bags for Donsol this coming weekend.  I need some time away from writing cheques, signing contracts, loading containers and picking basement tile patterns.  Just a few days out in the wild, away from everything.

The hotel is air conditioned, the GF will be there, there will be whale sharks all over.  Perfect vacation.

I read somewhere that around 70% of people in the world watch their movies on tablet PCs.  And I get it.  A laptop is great for working and everything, but tablets are a lot more.. fun.  They’re easier to hold, carry around, show things off on.  You’ve really got to hand it to Steve Jobs – the guy was a visionary.

Anyway, been thinking about giving in and getting a tablet PC.  I probably won’t get an iPad (I already plan on getting the next iPhone – an iPad would be pretty redundant), so I’m looking at the other gizmos on the market.  Giving the Archos tablet some serious consideration.  Ah well.  Let’s see if I go crazy this weekend.
